Welcome to the latest student-side update.
Students will now see banners, buttons and pop-ups in GCSEPod that point them to the GCSEPod - Revision & Study App, published by The Access Group, for iOS and Android.
This article explains what students will see, so you know what is changing on the student side of GCSEPod.
What's new
Where students will see the app
Students will see the following signposts to the app:
A banner at the top of the page.
A one-time pop-up when they log in. Each student sees it once.
Buttons in the footer.
Some buttons on the login form.
Why this matters for students
The app is easy to find. Students see links to it in several places in GCSEPod, and can also search for it in Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Students can revise on the go, away from a desktop.
Students can still use GCSEPod on desktop as they do now.
The app is free. Students and parents can't pay for it themselves. Only students at schools that subscribe to GCSEPod can use it, signing in with their usual GCSEPod credentials.
Why this matters for teachers
When students use the app, you benefit too:
Students complete their assignments in a more timely way.
Students are notified on their mobile when a new assignment is set, or when a deadline is approaching.
Students remain logged in on the app.
Students don't need access to a family computer or laptop.
Students will see links to the app in several places in GCSEPod, so it's easy to find.
How to access this update
This update is available to all schools immediately.
