Check & Challenge is a multiple-choice assessment that includes scaffolded support for students.
You can access Check & Challenge as a student to see what they see. Alternatively, you can view it as a teacher to see the answers.
Students can keep track of their progress in a Check & Challenge and view the report to see how well they've done.
There are several features to note:
The questions get harder as the quiz progresses. The difficulty rating of a question appears at the top of the page.
If the student is unsure of an answer, they can use the Get a Hint option.
To return to the pods at any time for additional support, students can click Back. This automatically saves their progress.
There is a diamond reward system. Students receive two diamonds for a correct answer on the first attempt and one diamond on the second
To find out more, follow the steps below.
Complete a Check & Challenge
Select an answer then click Check.
If you answered incorrectly, click Try Again.
Repeat step 1 then, to continue through the assessment, click Next.
At the end of the assessment, click Finish.
Diamonds
Diamonds are a way for students to track their progress.
If they answer a question correctly on the first attempt they receive two diamonds and if they answer correctly on the second attempt they receive one diamond. If they don't find the answer, they don't receive any diamonds and they move to the next question.
Students can see how many diamonds they've collected on the top left of the Check & Challenge screen and on their My Progress report.
View Progress
Students can review their progress on each Check & Challenge by following the steps below:
Click Home from the menu on the left.
Select a subject and topic.
Find and click a playlist that has the Check & Challenge option available.
Click Check & Challenge on the right.
You will see a page displaying all quizzes for this playlist and will have the options below:
Click Start to begin a quiz you've never taken before.
Click Continue to resume a quiz you started previously but haven't completed.
Click View Progress to review your progress on a quiz you've already taken.
