While you were away, we weren't sitting still. We've packed this term's update with things that'll genuinely get you excited, a brand-new student App, fresh subject content across Art & Design, English Language and Religious Studies, plus a full refresh of our English Language resources.

Whether you're planning for independent learning, intervention, homework or revision, there's something in here for you. So grab a coffee, settle in, and let's make this term count.

NEW FOR SEPTEMBER: GCSEPod App is now available!

Why it matters for your students

  • Makes independent learning more accessible

  • Helps students fit revision around busy schedules

  • Removes barriers to engagement with instant mobile access

  • Encourages more frequent revision habits beyond the classroom

  • Uses existing GCSEPod login details, no additional setup required

Included at no extra cost. The app is part of your school's existing subscription.

Your action: Share the app with your students today

The quickest way to boost engagement this term is to get students downloading the app in your next lesson.

Share the poster below, display it in hallways and classrooms, and encourage students to log in with their existing details and start exploring a new way to learn independently.

English Language: Explode Out

Sharper analysis, higher marks, one focused method

Building directly on the Word Effect Practice assessments from May, this is the perfect next step for students ready to deepen how they write about language in the exam.

The Explode Out framework guides students through AQA English Language Papers 1 and 2 using a clear three-step process: select, explore, and connect, tackling the common mistakes that keep responses stuck in the lower mark bands and building the layered AO2 responses that unlock higher marks.
