When setting up an assignment, either by using our AI Assistant or by creating questions on your own, you will get the option to add multiple choice or free text questions.
Once all questions and videos are set up, before you publish the assignment, you can also enable or disable the Enable AI marking for open-text answers option. When enabled, open-text responses in this assignment will be automatically analysed and prepared for your review.
To mark free text questions:
Click Assess from the menu on the left.
Click Assignments.
Under My Assignments, click the Assignments tab.
Locate your assignment and click View Markbook.
Select the Markbook tab.
If the Enable AI marking for open-text answers option has been disabled, free text questions will have a Mark button available for you to click on.
Enter the number of marks in the Marks awarded field.
Type in the feedback as needed in the Feedback text box.
If the Enable AI marking for open-text answers option has been enabled, free text questioned have already been reviewed and you will have a Check button you can click on to check the AI Assistant marks and feedback.
You can also go back and change your marks and feedback. Correct answers will show in green, while incorrect answers will show in red.
