One of the options when creating a new assignment is the Exam-Style Paper, which allows you to create an assignment specific to your exam board.

To find this and assign it to students:

  1. Click Assess in the menu on the left.

  2. Select Assignments, then click Create Assignment.

  3. Select Exam-Style Papers and click Continue.

  4. Search for the classes you want to assign this to, select them and click Continue.

  5. Click the Subject dropdown and select the subject.

  6. Click the Exam Board dropdown on the right to switch between exam boards and see different papers.

  7. Click Preview to see the paper before selecting it.

  8. Select the paper and click Continue.

  9. Edit the Assignment title if needed and set a start and end date.

  10. (Optional) Add a Description and click Add Instruction if needed.

  11. Click Add next to Classes and Students and Additional Markers to add students and markers for this assignment.

  12. Enable or disable the Preferences below:

    • Enable AI marking for open-text answers: When enabled, open-text responses in this assignment will be automatically analysed and prepared for your review.

    • Randomise questions and answers: Mixes up the order of questions and answer options for a unique experience for every student.

    • Control when results are released to Students: A great way to avoid cheating. By ticking this box you stop the results of the assignment from being automatically given to the students on submission. Instead, you will be able to release the results at any time you want. If you wish, you can keep the result hidden indefinitely.

    • Do not allow late submissions: When enabled, students will no longer be able to submit the assignment once the deadline has passed.

  13. When done, click Publish Assignment.

  14. You can now copy the link to the assignment or share it directly to Google Classroom or Teams.

⚠️ Important: If you have selected a subject that does not have any exam boards associated with it, you will get the message No assessments found and you will not be able to continue creating your assessment.
