Have You Updated or Changed Your Servers or MIS?

As schools prepare for the new academic year, it's important to review any IT infrastructure changes that may have taken place over the summer holidays.

Have You Changed Your MIS?

If your school has changed its Management Information System (MIS) this summer, please let us know as soon as possible. We use Wonde to integrate with your MIS, which enables us to automatically create and manage GCSEPod accounts for both staff and students.

Changes to your MIS may affect this integration, so we'll need to update the connection to ensure everything continues to work correctly before the new term starts.

Have You Moved or Updated Your Servers?

If you've moved, upgraded, or replaced your servers over the summer, please check that your GCSEPod integration is still functioning as expected.

Server changes can sometimes impact connectivity between your MIS and Wonde, which may prevent user data from syncing correctly.

How to Contact Us

If you've made any changes to your MIS or server infrastructure, your school's support entitlement holder should raise a support case through Digital Assistance.

Further guidance on raising a support case can be found below:

Schools Using Manual User Uploads

If your school manages users through manual uploads rather than MIS integration, now is the perfect time to review your staff and student lists.

Remove Old Users

Please remove any staff members or students who have left the school to ensure your records remain accurate.

Add New Students

To bulk upload new students:

  1. Navigate to Monitor.

  2. Select All Students.

  3. Click Import Users.

  4. Download the CSV Template.

  5. Populate the template with your new student details.

  6. Upload the completed CSV file.

Add New Teachers

The process for importing teachers is exactly the same:

  1. Navigate to Monitor.

  2. Select All Teachers.

  3. Click Import Users.

  4. Download the CSV Template.

  5. Complete the template with teacher details.

  6. Upload the CSV file.

Get Ready for the New School Year

Taking a few minutes now to confirm your MIS integration is working correctly, or updating your manually managed users, will help ensure that all students and staff can access GCSEPod from day one of the new term.

If you've made any changes to your MIS or server environment this summer, please don't forget to let us know.
