For schools that use Wonde or Groupcall XoD to sync student data from the MIS to Access GCSEPod, all students added to the MIS will show on Access GCSEPod once the sync takes place, which is usually overnight.
In these cases where the MIS integration is enabled you will not need to manually create student accounts as they will all be imported.
However, if you've added students to the MIS and they are not showing on GCSEPod within 24 hours, it's possible there may be an issue with the sync.
To resolve issues with missing student accounts, make sure you check the below.
Confirm that the students are added in the MIS
Ask your school's MIS manager to add the students to the MIS or check that they have been added. This will generally be someone in your IT department.
If you need students to use single sign on when logging in, please make sure the the students have their correct email address added in the Work field in the MIS.
Check for errors with Groupcall
If your school uses Groupcall XoD to sync with Access GCSEPod, please contact Groupcall Support in first instance so they can check for any errors on their end.
As this is a third party software, we will not have the access required to assist.
Once Groupcall resolves the error on their end, the sync should work correctly immediately after without any action from us.
Check for a recent MIS migration
Reach out to your school's MIS manager and ask them if there has been a recent MIS migration. For example, this could be the school changing from using one MIS to another, like moving on from SIMS to Bromcom.
If this is the case, please reach out to us via the Digital Assistant and request to speak to an agent. Let us know if the migration has already taken place and we will then be able to run a re-sync of the data and re-enable the integration, which will resolve issues with student accounts not being imported.
Check the Wonde blocklist
If your school uses Wonde to sync with Access GCSEPod, ask your IT technicians to take a look at the blocklist on Wonde to make sure that the missing students aren't being blocked from being imported.
Once they are removed from the blocklist their accounts will sync with Access GCSEPod automatically.
