When you relaunch Access GCSEPod at the beginning of the academic year, there may be some students who have forgotten their passwords.

To reset their passwords in bulk, follow the steps below.

From Monitor & Manage

You can change student passwords in bulk from the Monitor & Manage page by following the steps below:

  1. Click Monitor from the menu on the left.

  2. Click All Students.

  3. Tick the box as seen in the screenshot below to select all students on this page.

  4. Click Reset Passwords.

  5. Enter the password and then confirm it.

  6. Click Submit.

πŸ“Œ Note: This method only allows you to change the password for 25 students at a time, as this is the number of students on each page.

By importing a .csv file

You can also change passwords in bulk by exporting student details and then importing the file containing the new passwords.

To do this:

  1. Click Monitor from the menu on the left.

  2. Click All Students.

  3. Click Export.

  4. Open the .csv file and add a Password column, then populate it for all students.

  5. Go back to the All Students menu and click Import Users.

  6. Click Upload CSV and select your file.

  7. Select the row containing headers.

  8. Make sure all headers are set up correctly, then click OK.

  9. Click Proceed and create Users.

⚠️ Important: When uploading the file by following the steps above, make sure that the ID column is not deleted from the exported .csv file.

If the file you upload is missing the ID column, you risk duplicating accounts instead of resetting the passwords.
